The Long Beach Climate Action Plan (LB CAP) was adopted by the City Council on August 16, 2022. The implementation of the LB CAP is an ongoing, collaborative process between the City, its partners, and the community to make Long Beach a safer, healthier, and more sustainable place to live, work, and play. The City aims to accomplish this by implementing LB CAP action items that work to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, mitigate the effects of climate change, enhance economic vitality, and improve the quality of life in Long Beach.
