The Community-Wide Emissions Inventory is a biennial production-based inventory for community-wide greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions within the Long Beach jurisdictional boundary. The emissions sectors include Transportation & Mobile Sources, Commercial Energy, Residential Energy, Industrial Energy, Solid Waste, Water & Wastewater, and Process & Fugitive Emissions. The Local Government Operations (LGO) Inventory is a biennial production-based inventory for municipal operations that identifies greenhouse gas emissions produced by government owned and operated activities such as vehicle fleet travel, building and facility energy use, and employee waste generation. The LGO GHG emissions inventory is mostly a subset of the community-wide emissions inventory, with its sectors encompassed by their larger community counterparts. For example, electricity and natural gas use in buildings & facilities are part of the larger stationary energy sectors energy data.
